You might be surprised how often we're asked that question. It seems to be too good to be true, so what's our angle? The catch is this... almost nobody takes the time to do due diligence and figure out who's good and who's not. And everything looks good without having something to compare it to. We recognize that. We don't just want someone we "think" is good. We want someone we "KNOW" is good. But to make that type of determination it requires vetting. We've been vetting for years. We've taken quality seriously for many years. The catch is that most people don't have a carefully vetted networking of business-to-business service providers. They also don't usually have the drive to go out and build a website to link people together. Why would they? What's in it for them. The catch is that we're really good at building websites, really good at vetting people, and really passionate about helping small business owners get the support they need. So... why wouldn't we do this? It just makes sense.

We have an application form. If a business owner fills out the application form completely, and they give thoughtful answers, we will schedule a conversation with them. Then, we let them know what we want to see, in terms of quality and interaction. If they agree to held to our standard of quality, then they are added to our website as someone we would refer. HOWEVER... being added to our website is relatively easy. The challenge comes in staying on our website. They actually need to work with someone we refer and they need to have at least 90% of the people they work with to say it was a good connection. If they don't maintain a 90% satisfaction with those we refer them, we will remove them from our website.

Yes. They will receive a couple things. First, they will receive feedback from those they work with. If we hear anything that needs to be passed along that will help the "Who" become better at their craft, then we will share that information. This is valuable, since many business owners don't get candid non-biased feedback from a third-party source who's striving to help; at least, not in this way. Additionally, if desired, our "Whos" will be provided opportunities for additional business support. This could be training, workshops, educational resources, professional development, or other opportunities along those lines. Those who make up our community of "Whos" will be kept up-to-date on these opportunities as they are made available.

Great question and thanks for asking! Earlier on this page you may have read that we were originally created in 2015 as a marketing agency. Technically, we still are. However, in 2024 we stopped taking on clients who want to market themselves. This means we don't do any sales and we do very little client relationship management. Trying to convince or guide someone to financially invest in their business isn't something we enjoyed. It's frustrating to want to help someone, try to guide someone to do what they should do for marketing, only for them to not have the right mindset. And trying to help them help themselves can be tiring. However, we are 100% great with actually doing the marketing work for other companies, who want to outsource the work to us. If we can just sit at our computers and do great work for other marketing companies, so they don't have, that's a win. And the services we offer aren't limited to being outsourced by marketing companies. IT companies, business coaches, and other companies can very easily outsource to us as well. Us being an outsourced or white-label marketing and business services provider is how we make money. But we exclusively work in out outsourced scenario. We WILL NOT take on any clients of our own... except in a sub-contracted type of situation. And as a bonus, we sometimes make revenue by commission, when one of the "Whos" we refer has that type of compensation model.

That's a fair question. The answer is no. They do not have to pay us. They simply need to do great work. The greater our network the greater value we provide. And ultimately the more successful everyone in our ecosystem will become. No. There is no cost to connect with a who. We only want your feedback on the experience with whomever it is you reached out to, through our website. If your experience was great, we want to know. On the other hand, if you didn't have an excellent experience, we want to know that too. We value feedback.

Since we stopped taking on clients our selves, we are literally unable to bring on new clients. If someone comes to us and wants a service, we have to say no. We won't send them invoices. So, in order to make revenue, we need more great companies we can refer. And we are particularly interested in working with agencies who want to outsource work to us. If you know an agency... whether it's a solopreneur or a well established firm with many team members, we'd love the opportunity to explore sending them referrals and also lightening their workload. That would be a great win-win that helps us grow. And as we grow we can provide even great value to our small business world.
